Hello! I’m a freelance broadcaster and journalist.

I host The Times’ flagship podcast The Story, the weekly podcast Strangely and for the BBC World Service I present OS, Newsday and Weekend.

In 2025 I released my podcast series The Pitcairn Trials, which investigates the small British territory in the South Pacific and its legacy of abuse. The Times gave it 5 stars, The Observer called it “gripping” and the FT called it “compelling…and illuminating”. I was nominated Best Host at the British Podcast Awards 2025

I started my career on BBC Radio 4 news programmes as a producer, then reporter, then presenter.

I first hosted PM, at the age of 24. I’ve since hosted The World at One, Broadcasting House, The World Tonight, Front Row, Any Questions and Saturday Live.

I helped launch Times Radio, hosting Breakfast on Friday, Saturday and Sundays. In addition to all this I’ve presented for Sky Arts and National Theatre Live, and written for The Times, The Sunday Times and Daily Mail.

Some of my work is here and you can also get in touch here.
